Hi there!
I’m Daniel Hunter, editor of Indie Thinkers.
Let’s dive in.

Experiments
I'm launching this newsletter again,
from step one.
I've been experimenting extensively over the past few months with what I should write about here. Thank you for sticking around and trusting me with your time.
I don't take this for granted.
Moving Forward
Content distribution and discovery are complex problems.
The best solution is to pay attention to people with high signal-to-noise ratios.
You should pay attention to creators who are more likely to provide valuable, insightful, and actionable information rather than those who are likely to pollute your feed with useless chatter and other platitudes.
This is hard to do on your own,
so let’s do it together.
This newsletter, Indie Thinkers, will focus on the following goal:
Establish a new distribution channel for writers and help creators learn from the brightest minds on the internet.
What is an Indie Thinker? I believe the term was coined by Justin Murphy back in 2019 and it originally referred to independent academic researchers and writers.
... internet intellectuals, “content creators” of the higher-brow variety, cancellation-vulnerable professionals, and lesser-known upstarts aspiring to be one of these.
My definition is broader and encompasses writers from all walks of life. Writing is the single most important skill in the age of artificial intelligence and if Writing is Thinking, great writers are also Independent Thinkers.
With the advancement of technology, the most prolific writers will undoubtedly be the best thinkers. ChatGPT, for example, is lighter fluid for clear thoughts and ideas.
With ChatGPT, you can literally "think" essays, threads, and even software into existence. Your brain and what you feed it matter more now than ever.
Each one, Teach one, is my motto.
Let's help each other learn and grow.
Best,
Daniel
